Branson Hot Plate welders are used for a variety of applications including the assembly of automotive tail lamps. Hot Plate welding provides mechanical strong, hermetic seals for complex shapes in dissimilar materials.

Branson systems are used worldwide to bond sound absorbing materials like shoddy pads and Thinsulate the B-side of interior trim components. Ultrasonic welding provides a high speed bonding technique with superior retention.

Utilizing its core competency in vibration welding, Branson has been awarded numerous programs for the welding of fabric inserts to injection molded load floors for a leading tier one automotive supplier. The Branson technology eliminates glues, adhesive, staples and provides structural bond that will survive the life of the vehicle while maintaining excellent visual aesthetics.

Epic was selected to produce a large number of tools and machines for the semi-automatic production of interior trim for an up coming motor vehicle. The package included Epic’s proprietary fabric edge folding and servo controlled trim press machines. Production launch is schedule for summer 07.

Epic designed and built a package of 20 machines and fixtures for a state of the art headliner production line for an upcoming GM vehicle. These tools allow either manual or automatic production of headliners and incorporate a break thru design for ease of use and ergonomics.

Epic recently designed and built a “lights out” automated assembly system for international manufacturer of automotive power train components. The system incorporated four Fanuc six axis robots with servo controlled dial indexer to produce 360 drive shaft yoke assemblies per hour. The system is capable of assembling 17 different styles of yokes with minimal change over. The system yielded a 600% increase in productivity.

Using advanced radial riveting technology perfected by Baltec, critical safety items such as door lock mechanism are securely assembled using the radial riveting technique. Millions of vehicles are on the road today with door lock modules assembled using the Baltec process.

Using a variety of Baltec products hard and soft top convertibles are assembled using Baltec’s riveting, pressing and forming techniques.
